As CEO, Magaly Chocano brings years of production and marketing experience to bear on every major digital project Sweb Development undertakes. Magaly--a native of Madrid, Spain--founded Sweb Development in 2008 as a web and mobile app development firm. In August of 2009 she launched SwebApps: the first build-your-own iPhone application platform for Small Businesses online. Today Sweb Development is a Digital Agency that services development needs worldwide from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits alike.

Magaly spent many years as an agency broadcast producer in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets developing TV, Radio and Print Campaigns for clients such as: Coors Light, Reynold’s Wrap, Burger King, Nestle and General Mills. She worked for several years as a Broadcast, Print, and Freelance Producer for Bromley Communications. Prior to her work at Bromley, Magaly served as the Director of International Alliance and Student Services for the Savannah College of Art and Design campus in Lacoste, France.

Magaly and her team have been at the forefront of development and strategy in the mobile space on behalf of large national and international brands. In 2009 she created the first build your own iPhone application platform for Small Businesses online. Sweb has developed dozens of websites large and small, for clients ranging from Susan G. Komen to Qantas Vacations, and over 200 mobile apps for companies like Ford Motors, Tupperware, Al Jazeera, and the City of San Antonio, Texas.

In 2012, Magaly was recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of the 40 most influential people under 40. In 2013 Magaly was recognized as one of the 10 fun and fearless Latinas by Cosmo Magazine in NYC, awarded the SXSWi Social Revolución Innovator award and recognized as the Small Business of The Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2015 NAWBO gave the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award to Chocano and in 2016 was awarded the Enterprising Women of The Year award.
